how do i start making money from an online newsletter ?

so instead of making a magazine, i wanna start off with a newsletter email type of thing. how can i make money from that ?

The first thing is to get a mailing list together and people to subscribe to it. If no-one sees it you won’t be able to make anything from it. So start with the ‘list’.
Assuming you have a good circulation, there are lots of ways to make money. But you need to do it in the right way. The article and the value it gives your reader must always come first, not the ‘money’. And everything you ‘sell’ must be a quality product which adds value.
For every article you write, you should include one thing you could make money from. This could be an affiliate link related to the content or you could recommend a book. But as I said, the important thing is that it adds value to your readership. This means that you should buy the product you are recommending and try it out first. You can even point out the ‘negatives’ in your recommendation (for example, this shop is great for x and Y product but not so good for Z). If you give a bad recommendation your reputation will suffer.
